Historic Mill House – Provence
The client purchased this wonderful converted 15th Century building after a substantial restoration of the fabric. However, they found the somewhat minimalist approach to the interior design and decoration cold and uncomfortable. Here, Robert’s brief was to redesign the use of space, and create a sense of warmth and comfort, conducive to family weekends and holidays, year round. The building has more than sufficient inherent character and detail, so the result has been achieved by focusing on luxurious furniture, substantial textures and a palette of warm medieval colours.
