Clerkenwell Penthouse
This apartment had never realised its potential as the impressive living space that it has now become. An earlier conversion of what had been a factory space, provided only the basic template for domestic living, so Robert’s brief was to transform it into a stylish home for his young clients. The space has benefited from fine finishes, including show woods and grass papers, which sit comfortably with the huge areas of glass, affording views of landscaped terraces, and the city beyond.
Robert made the seating in the living area the focus of entertaining in comfort, using generous sized sofas placed upon a deep pile custom made rug. The double height of this room provided an opportunity to install a 4 metre high bespoke mirror, to emphasize it, and to add glamour from reflected light by both day and night.
